This is a great schedule! I'm very happy the group is coming to Wabash. I hope to see you there. I know the show will be "fab"!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Minneapolis show 7/17. I thought the four of you got along fabulously, and I think the "new" Ringo and Paul are fantastic. Paired with the best John and Paul in the business, the fresh faces passed the audition. Please come to Fargo sometime...I will do some free publicity for you.

I meant to say "Paired with the best John and George in the business..."

My family and I look forward to the two Bass Hall concerts in Ft.Worth. We have attended all the 1964 concerts at Bass Hall since the first one in 2002, or maybe it was 2003. Just keep them coming!
Also I'm looking forward to the 1964 store opening again. I would love to complete the purchase of the bootleg series!

I'm a huge fan of the band and have been disappointed with all of Gary's replacements til now. The newest "Paul" , I believe his name is Grahame Alexander is great. I hope he's a permanent member of the band. I can't wait til they come back round my neck of the woods.

Just left the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville--the house was packed and the show was fabulous. Thanks, guys.

Attended the Knoxville show and it was great. Had never seen a Beatles tribute band before....cant imagine anyone getting closer to this than 1964 did. The house was rocking! I would like to have had a bit more info on the members though....the "new" Paul (it wasnt the new fellow mentioned on the sites)was a very young man who did resemble Paul fairly well...did a good job on vocals. I wonder, does this band ever use recorded tracks? There were a couple of times that "paul" was a bit far from the microphone yet his vocal came on strong...just wondering. Overall, an excellent show that really pleased the crowd. I'd go again!

Ed, 1964 NEVER uses any vocal tracks - or any tracks of any kind. Great vocalists don't have to be right on the mic. And the type of mics they use pick up vocals without having to be that close. I've produced over 300 shows with 1964. It's all real.

Ok...thanks for that info Mark. I bought the CD set that was sold in the theatre lobby. Excellent...worht it just to hear how close they replicate the originals. Also did some youtube searching on the history of the group. Came across all those grainy black and white videos from the early 80's when they were part of the group Revolver and playing in a bar. They were great then as well. Thanks again for your response.

Hey Mark,
The show the other night in New Bern was fantastic! Hope you can make it back soon. BTW I tried G diminished--looks like it'll take some practice for me!
Cheers,

Hi,
I saw the show at Foxborough's Showcase Live and LOVED it! I've seen the band before, but this was the best I've seen. I loved the venue...great sound and lighting. Besides the usual great work from John and George, I thought the Paul was fabulous. Not sure if it was the same Paul Jason is referring to, but I thought he was great! Especially looking at the screens on the side of the stage, I could see he had all the Paul nuances down pat. Keep up the good work!

I have been an avid fan for 15 yrs. now.
Was at the Manchester show thurs. night 8/18. No one can ever replace Gary, but new Paul is really a step up from Ricky Vacca. Like I said, he's no Gary, but much better energy & effort than Vacca! Better voice too. Too bad he has no scream. You're going to have to cover for him on that Mark!

Just got back to my house from the Red Rocks concert in Denver on 08/26/11. I've seen the band about 12 times since 1990 and have caught all the concerts at Red Rocks except one. It was only tonight that I learned of Gary's passing when I noticed it wasn't him on bass. Much has been said in tribute about Gary and I can add nothing more. Gary played his role as Paul beautifully and certainly gave credibility to 1964's claim as the best Beatles tribute band on the planet. Whoever steps in to take over that role will have huge shoes to fill. Gary set the bar very high and I feel for the guy that picks up the baton to carry the music forward. There will be the inevitable comparisons, however I will judge the end result by how good the music sounds, does the band still give me that one-of-a-kind show, do I believe in the player's presentation of their Beatle characters, and most importantly would I pay to see them again. After the Red Rocks concert, I most enthusiastically endorse that they passed my audition at all levels. The concert did not miss a step in its quality, musicianship, or showmanship. It was still great fun, a joy to listen to and sing along with. Yes, I will gladly fork over my hard earned sheckels to see the band again next year. I thoroughly enjoyed and believed the "new Paul". He did a masterful job and belongs up there on stage with the band. He's earned his spot and contributes totally to the magic that happens at a 1964 concert. A wonderful evening, in a beautiful outdoor concert setting, and a first rate show that was every bit as good as any other 1964 concert I've attended.
The music is in good hands. You may resume your in-flight beverage service.
